Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to Saint George’s Religious Education Program. Whether you are joining us for the first time, or have been here before, we know that you will be taking an active part in the religious education of your child/children and we look forward to supporting you in this venture. The Religious Education year will begin with the commissioning of our catechists at the 11:30am Mass on Sept. 18th, please join us at this Mass as we begin our year. Directly after Mass will be our parish picnic on the grounds of the church – check the bulletin for details.
All children have been assigned to the class that was requested on the registration form. Monday classes (grades 7th & 8th) will begin on Sept. 19th at 6pm and Tuesday classes (grades 1, 2, 3 & 6) will begin on Sept. 20nd at 6pm.
Once again this year, we have
included in this mailing all relevant program information. Included you will
find the names of the catechetical staff , the telephone, email and office
hours of the Religious Education Office, the 2011/2012 calendar. We ask
your cooperation in reading over this information so that we can work
together to make this year a positive learning experience for all involved.
If ever you should have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to
give me a call.
All classes will be held in the
John
Price Parish Center
We thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you during
the year.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Margaret Dziminski, CRE
Confirmation, First Penance and First Eucharist
Though immediate preparation is given to
children before receiving these Sacraments, children are expected to receive
a Christian upbringing in their family life, to attend religious education
classes and to participate at Sunday worship in the years prior to receiving
those Sacraments.
Please keep in mind that some of the class
times may fill up more quickly than others. In order to secure your
preference, we strongly encourage you to register as soon as possible.
Session preferences are more easily accommodated when registration is made
before June 30th. We anticipate an enrollment of 175 children this
coming year. Class size is limited to 12 - 15 students per class to
facilitate a quality education. Class assignments will be made on a
"first come first served"
basis. Children in the same family will be placed in classes on
the same day unless parents request that this is not done.
Registration made prior to or on June 30,

GOD, OUR FATHER, WE ASK YOU TO BLESS ALL CANDIDATES WHO ARE NOW PREPARING TO RECEIVE THE SPIRIT OF YOUR LOVE IN THE SACRAMENT OF CONFIRMATION.
MAY THE GIFTS WITHIN EACH ONE BE TOUCHED BY YOUR HOLY SPIRIT AND BECOME BLESSINGS FOR YOUR PARISH FAMILY.
BLESS TOO, THEIR PARENTS, THEIR SPONSORS, THEIR TEACHERS AND CATECHISTS, ALL THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN THE REFLECTION OF YOUR SON'S LOVE FOR US.
THIS WE ASK THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, OUR LORD.
AMEN
